Prepare for A-Level exam results by ensuring the information required for Track login is available and that help and advice may be accessed.

As the A-Level results day is now fast approaching, it is important to be as prepared as possible in order to be confident about how to proceed once grades have been received. The key is to have all the options known and have someone your trust who will be available on the day to talk them through.

A-Level Results Preparation - Track Login Details

For those who have applied to university or college, the information required to check if one has been accepted into a chosen course (or insurance course) will be available on Track. In order to access the Track system, the username and password utilised for UCAS applications will be required. For further help on accessing Track, head to the login reminder service, located on the Track page.

Be sure to check that the details on the Track system are correct. For example, if a university or college has not got the right email or telephone details then this could result in missing out on a place altogether.

A-Level Results Day – Be Available

On the A-level results day, it is vital that one is free all day and able to collect results in person at school or sixth form college, if that is the designated procedure. Being away, at work or on holiday when the results come out is not going to impress any university or college admissions service. Also, if away the benefits of having person to person support and advice are inaccessible.

Arrange transport beforehand, if results are due to be collected from school. Ideally plan to go with a friend, that way you can support each other on the way there and when opening the results.

A-Level Results – Coping with Unexpected Results

It is always well worth having a plan, even if it is just a few numbers to ring or who to meet up with, just in case of unexpected results. This way it will be less likely that valuable time on the A-level results day will be lost, getting in a state of panic. Remember that there are systems such as Clearing already in place and helplines available specifically for those who have not been successful in obtaining their required grades necessary for their chosen university course.

Teachers will be available at school or college, who are well experienced in helping those who have not made the grades required. They will be able to offer practical advice and support on different options available and were to go from here.

As highlighted above, A-level results day is stressful for most students, but having a plan in place can really help reduce anxiety and save time stressing on the day. Those who have not had their place at university confirmed through Track, may call admissions directly or go through the Clearing process.
